Websites for landscape design firms

Elimenti designs custom websites for landscape design and design-build firms in Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Oak Brook and the western suburbs of Chicago. The site shows finished landscapes the way you would walk a client through them, explains how design, build and care fit together, and books the first site visit.

What a landscape design website needs to do

  • Projects told as problems solved. A sloped Burr Ridge lot, a narrow Hinsdale side yard, a new build with no trees. Each project page names the site problem, the plan and the materials, with photos across seasons if you have them.
  • Design, build and care, kept apart. A homeowner planning a full redesign and one looking for seasonal care want different things. Each gets its own pages and its own short form.
  • The process and the calendar. Site visit, design, proposal, install, care. Say when design work happens and how early spring installs fill, so the call in March isn't a surprise.
  • A plain answer on design fees. If design is billed separately or credited toward the install, say so before the first visit.
  • Your service area by town. Name the towns you actually work in. Homeowners and builders search by town, and it keeps calls inside your radius.
  • Credentials, stated plainly. Landscape architects on staff, the hardscape systems you're certified to install and how long you've worked these towns.

What the Wexmoor concept shows

The homepage splits visitors three ways right away: design and build, garden care or a paid site visit. The Work page tells five projects as problem, plan and materials. The Approach page explains each step with its fee and its season, then ends with two separate forms, one for design projects and one for care, so each request reaches the right person.

Our closest work

Our closest work is for ABN Construction Group, a Glen Ellyn contractor whose site sells on its project portfolio, where we add new work without breaking what's there. The same rule holds for landscape firms: the projects do the selling, and they need to stay current. Read the ABN case study →

What it costs

Projects start at $3,000. Most land between $3,500 and $4,500. A firm with separate design-build and maintenance divisions, each with its own pages and forms, can sit above that range. Every project is scoped individually, and the price is in your written proposal before any work starts.

After launch, Site Care adds new projects and new seasons of photos at $175 a month or $85 an hour. What a website costs in the western suburbs →

Questions landscape firms ask

How much does a website for a landscape design firm cost?

A custom Elimenti website for a landscape design firm starts at $3,000, and most projects land between $3,500 and $4,500. The main variables are how many project pages you need and whether design-build and maintenance need separate sections. Copywriting and a basic SEO setup are included. You get the exact price in writing before work starts.

Can the site separate design-build inquiries from maintenance requests?

Yes. We give each service its own pages and its own short form, so a full redesign inquiry and a seasonal care request don't land in the same pile. Each form asks what that team needs to know: town, scope and budget for design-build; address, start date and who built the garden for care.

Should we list a design fee on our website?

If you charge one, yes. Homeowners who see the fee up front, and whether it's credited toward the install, arrive at the site visit already expecting it. You don't need to publish install pricing. A sentence on how design is billed, plus a typical range for full projects, filters calls without boxing you in.

Can we show projects across seasons?

Yes, and you should if you have the photos. A garden that looks good in February as well as June makes a stronger case than one shot on a single summer day. Each project page can hold photos by season, and through Site Care we add new ones as you shoot them, usually within five business days.

What if we don't have good photos of our work?

Use the best you have and add more over time. Photography is available as an add-on at $85 an hour, and we'll plan shoots around when your projects look their best. If you already work with a landscape photographer, we design around their images instead.

Will the website help us show up in searches for towns like Hinsdale and Burr Ridge?

It helps. Every Elimenti site includes a basic SEO setup: page titles, clean headings, structured data that tells Google and AI tools what you do and where, a sitemap and fast load times. Project pages that name the town add real local relevance. We don't sell monthly SEO retainers or link building.
