Neuromodulators

Botox, Dysport and Xeomin relax the muscles behind the lines that come from movement: forehead lines, the two lines between your brows and crow's feet. Done well, you look rested, not frozen.

Is it right for you?

Neuromodulators work on lines that appear when you move your face. They do less for lines that are there at rest, which often respond better to filler, microneedling or resurfacing. Your provider will tell you which is which at the consultation.

  • Good fit: lines that deepen when you frown, raise your brows or smile.
  • Not right now: during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, or with certain neuromuscular conditions. We review your medical history first.

Who performs it

Our nurse practitioner or one of our RN injectors, following protocols set by our medical director, a board-certified dermatologist. The same provider sees you for your two-week check.

What to expect

Before

Skip alcohol and blood thinners like aspirin for a day or two if your doctor agrees. Come without makeup if you can.

During

A few small injections with a fine needle. Most people describe it as a quick pinch. No numbing needed.

After

Stay upright for four hours and skip hard workouts until tomorrow. Small bumps fade within the hour.

What it costs

From $14 per unit, or $12 per unit for members. Most first visits treat one to three areas. Your provider gives you a unit estimate before starting, and you only pay for what's used.

The consultation is $50 and is credited to your treatment if you go ahead the same day.

Results

We only show photos from patients who gave written consent for marketing use. Results vary, and your provider will tell you what's realistic for you.

Questions

Will I look frozen?
Not if the dose is right. We start conservatively, especially on a first visit, and adjust at your two-week check.
Botox, Dysport or Xeomin?
They work the same way and last about as long. Your provider will recommend one based on the area and your history.
How often do people come back?
Most every three to four months. Some find the effect lasts longer after a few rounds.
